HISTORY O
F CHERNOBYL
S.
T.A.L.K.E.R is a tactical, fi rst-person
game of engagement set within the ir

ex

dangerous area, emanating from the
ruins of
th
e Chernobyl nuclear power plant, is h
ome to twists of nature, echoes of hum
anity and
a
mercenary, a Stalker, who must strug
gle to uncover a troubled past even as
the Zone

ghts to protect a terrible future.
thinking they woul
d never see home again. Over the years, visitor
s would
remark on the gho
stly presence a city abandoned could have, as t
hough an
entire population w
ere merely in the next room, waiting to return
. In time,
the theories of how
such an accident could occur would mutate be
yond reason but for
that night and for
the weeks that followed, was told the story of t
he moment; a tragic
narrative on East/W
est relations and a commentary on nuclear po
wer. The word on the
lips of a generation
was: Chernobyl.

The second inciden

Of all the internati

not one would have

from not occuring
and the explosion, when it shattered the early h

how shallow Chern

The radioactive rea

the outside world.
Where mutation ha

has been warped, w
ho can determine what is truth? Survival is the
underlying aim
of every single inha

is for each man, wo
man and creature to decide. As a Stalker you

no knowledge of yo

beyond that? Will y
